Future Safari

以亞灣區未來發展為命題，透過高雄港的歷史文化盤查與展示，訴說高雄港之於臺灣的經濟發展以及未來亞灣新生活的重要性，並設計導入現有交通渡輪改造成為未來觀光渡輪，以及渡輪上融入智慧化透明顯示窗屏與科技互動體驗內容，為年底啟動的亞灣觀光遊程之啟航做預備。

Conceiving the future development of Asia New Bay Area as a proposition, we, through a survey and exhibit on Port of Kaohsiung’s history and culture, intend to tell visitors why Port of Kaohsiung is so important to Taiwan's economic development and a new life for the future of Asia New Bay Area. In particular, we introduce design into the existing transportation ferries, transforming them to the future sightseeing ferries that incorporate smart transparent widow display screens and content providing technological interactive experiences. All these efforts are in preparation for the launch of the Asia New Bay sightseeing itinerary at the end of the year.

荷治以前
16 世紀中期，打狗、雞籠、淡水、大員等地常有海盜出沒．
In mid-16th Century, pirates were rampant at Takao, Kelang, Tamsui, and Tayouan.
1624-1662
荷治時期
1626年，荷蘭人佔領臺灣，以南部為根據，打狗港交通因之開始．
In 1626, Dutch people occupied Taiwan and chose the southern areas as their base. It began traffic at Takao Port.
1661-1683
明鄭時期
1661 年，鄭成功率兵來臺，逐荷蘭人並據以抗清，經營打狗港東部鳳山一帶．
In 1661, Zheng Chenggong and his troops evicted the Dutch, and occupied Taiwan against Qing Dynasty. He developed Fengshan area on the eastern side of Takao Port.
1683-1895
清領時期
1864 年，打狗港正式開港並設立海關，從漁港轉型為商港．
In 1864, Takao Port was transformed from a fishing port to a commercial port with customs.
1895-1945
日治時期
1941 年，日本發動太平洋戰爭，高雄港成為日人南進主要供給港．
In 1941, Japan waged Pacific War. Kaohsiung Port was the main supply Port for southward expansions.
1945-
民國時期
1966 年，世界首創的「高雄加工出口區」於高雄港中島商港區誕生，成為臺灣經濟起飛的契機．
In 1966, a pioneering "export processing zone" was designated on the island district in Kaohsiung Port. It generated economic prosperity in Taiwan.
1984 年，研議多年的高雄港「過港隧道」竣工通車。
The underwater tunnel at Kaohsiung Port was completed and opened after many years of consultation.
2000-
亞洲新灣區
2011 年，高雄展覽館、高雄市立圖書館總館、高雄港埠旅運中心、海洋文化及流行音樂中心、環狀輕軌捷運（水岸段）等亞洲新灣區五項大型公共建設陸續竣工。
Five major infrastructure projects in Asia New Bay Area completed, including Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, Kaohsiung Public Library, Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal, Kaohsiung Music Center, and Circular Light Rail (Waterfront Section).
2021 年，亞洲新灣區為「大南方計畫」之一環，「亞洲新灣區 5G AIoT 創新園區」推動方案啟動．
In 2021, Asian New Bay Area became a part of Greater South Program, and initiated 5G AIoT Innovation Park.
